Formula Renault Asia Ryan Haryanto Managed Second Podium in Zhuhai Metronews.com, 22 September 2008 Liputan6.com, Zhuhai : An amazing result was gained by a young Indonesian driver, Ryan Haryanto, in Formula Renault Asia Series 10 that was held in the Zuhai International Circuit, China, Sunday (21/9). Ryan who started in last position or 22nd position appeared fascinatingly and was able scoring best achievement by getting the second podium. Firstly, Ryan’s team was under the dark cloud on this Formula Renault Asia Series 10. Because of the mechanical team’s failure in loading the fuel, Ryan must carry on penalty by starting from the last starting grid, whereas in fact he started on the sixth position. However, the penalty given by the steward seemingly made him more enthusiastic. By hard effort, Ryan came back to show his class and was able on overtaking 16 drivers which were in his front. After running 10 laps, Ryan was finally able to finish on 6th position or finished in 2nd position in Formula Renault Asia class. The 1st and 3rd positions were taken by the host driver, Cao Hong Wei and Zuo Xiao Liong This result of course became the worthy provisions for Ryan Haryanto; as in upcoming Formula One Championship in Singapore, Ryan will back to race in Formula BMW championship.
